Cashless transaction for vehicle related services at RTOs in Odisha from Jan 11

Cuttack: The State Transport Authority (STA) today declared all transactions relating to the Government revenue and service charges of concessionaire in VAHAN portal for vehicle related services will be made in online and URL mode from January 11, 2021.

The order issued by the STA stated no cash will be accepted at RTO counters for vehicle related services at all RTOs of the State.

“Vehicle owners can avail all the vehicle related services like pay the tax, fee, upload document, apply and take printout of permits, fitness and tax/fee receipts etc online by visiting https://parivahan.gov.in. This will help in reducing the long queue in RTO office counters for making payments and will result in improved user satisfaction,” the order read.

The users are already making the payment related to driving license services in SARATHI portal in online mode from March 16, 2020.
