Cuttack, Aug 9:

This is cuteness overload. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is looking for the cutest cat alive that has been rescued by a good samaritan and a cat from our very own Millennium City of Cuttack has made it to the top 10 of this contest.

This feline called Baba Ghanush was rescued from a dog that bit him, by Cuttack resident Abhishek Prusty who fended off Baba Ghanush‘s attacker. “Baba Ghanush is a lucky cat indeed and has returned the favour of being rescued by bringing much love and joy into his guardian’s life. All rescued cats are already winners because their lives were saved by people who love them for who they are,” says PETA India CEO Poorva Joshipura.

PETA’s mission is to encourage people to adopt pets, rather than buying them from pet shops. The winner of this contest will be decided via online voting open till August 11 and the winners will be declared on August 13.

The top three kittens will feature in the upcoming issue of PETA India ‘s magazine for members, Animal Times.
