Cattle rescued from pickup van in Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: In yet another incident of alleged illegal cattle transportation, as many as 22 cattle were rescued from a pickup van in Odisha’s Balasore district today.

The cattle were reportedly being transported to West Bengal from Bhadrak. Locals intercepted the vehicle near Remuna here and freed the animals. Later, they vandalised the pickup van.

The driver and helper of the vehicle went absconding after the incident.
