CBI grills BJD leader Prafulla Singh again

Prafulla Singh, former working president of the Cuttack district unit of Odisha’s ruling party- BJD appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) twice today in connection with his alleged links with two chit fund firms from Odisha-Artha Tatwa Group and Seashore Group of Companies.

Singh was grilled by the CBI for about five hours in two sessions today. While the first session lasted for three hours, the second session was for two hours.

Earlier, Singh was interrogated on two occasions by the CBI in this connection.

“The CBI had sought for some documents. I have submitted those today. I will fully cooperate in the investigation process. I will appear as many times as I am summoned by them. I haven’t made any financial transaction with anyone,” Singh told reporters outside the CBI office here.

Sources in the CBI revealed that the agency during the interrogation tried to ascertain whether he was mediating between his party leaders and the chit fund firms.
