CBI grills Odisha Youth Cong chief for AT links

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today interrogated Rajat Choudhary, president of the Odisha unit of the Youth Congress for his alleged links with the Artha Tatwa (AT) Group, a major player in the multi-thousand crore chit fund scam in the state.

Rajat who had also appeared before the central investigative agency earlier in 2014 was quizzed for over three hours by the CBI officials in connection with his alleged links with the AT Group, sources said.

The Youth Congress president’s wife was also quizzed by the CBI, the sources added.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Lalatendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra (Lulu) has questioned the CBI’s interrogation of Rajat after two years.

Mohapatra said Rajat’s interrogation by the CBI was aimed at creating political pressure.
