Singh, who arrived in the city this morning and Bagchi, who came yesterday, were closeted with CBI officials here for the better part of the day taking stock of the progress of the probe so far and outliling the road map for the future course of the investigation.

While both the senior sleuths refused to take question from the media on their way out, a CBI official said the charge sheet to be filed againstg the Artha Tatwa (AT) ) group was among the major issues discussed during the day-long deliberations.

"CBI's legal advisor VC Shukla, who had come with the joint director, gave his inputs on how to make the charge sheet foolproof, leaving no room for the guilty to escape," the officer said.

The issue of the impending interrogation of bureaucrats whose names have figured in the scam was also discussed at the meeting, he said.
