Kendrapara: The CBI raided the petrol pump of gangster Usman Ali alias Tito's wife here in the district on Thursday.

A six-member team of CBI sleuths broke open the sealed doors of the petrol pump and seized some documents during the raid.

The petrol pump, which was registered in name of Tito's wife Benazir Bibi, was sealed by the Odisha Crime Branch in August 2018 during a probe into Tito's alleged involvement in several crimes.

The sealed petrol pump was opened in presence of Special Task Force officials yesterday.

According to reports, the raid was conducted following the IOCL approached the CBI on July 18 last year to probe into allotment of two petrol pumps in the name of Sayed Brothers Filing Station at Kendrapara and ad hoc dealership of COCO at Paradip, the relatives of Tito.

Notably, Tito was arrested by the STF of Crime Branch on June 30 last year for his involvement in several crimes. The STF had also sealed the commercial and residential premises of the gangster and his associates.
