CBSE Class 12 pass percentage in Bhubaneswar region stands at 90.37 this year

Bhubaneswar: Student pass percentage in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)-conducted annual Class 12 examination was recorded at 90.37 this year, which was declared today.

A total of 93,262 Class 12 students had registered their names in Bhubaneswar region, of which as many as 92,750 appeared the annual examination. At least 46,295 boys and 37,527 girls cleared the exams. Pass percentage of the boys stood at 89.45 and girls at 91.54, an official source said.

Bhubaneswar region has a total of 932 schools and the exams for Class 12 students were conducted at 461 different centres. However, the total number of candidates placed in compartment is 5,422, which comes to 5.85%, the official source added.

Moreover, 54,442 students belonging to the general category, 7,757 to Scheduled Castes (SC) category, 15,720 to Scheduled Tribes (ST) and 5,903 to Other Backward Classes (OBC) passed the exams.
