CCTV photos out in media of the Nandankanan tigress Megha and her cubs have raised questions on the security of the big cat and her offsprings with the zoo authorities in Odisha claiming that the pictures are fake.
Megha gave birth to the two cubs at the enclosure number-31, they have been kept under strict security. But the pictures on media have rise to speculation that the arrangement might not be fool proof.
On the other hand, the Nandankanan Zoological Park has denied that the pictures circulating in the social media are of Megha and her cubs.
“No photos have been given out to media of the tigress and her cubs. The pictures circulating in the social media are fake, said Nandankanan deputy director Jayanta Kumar Das.
According to Das as Megha became a mother for the first time, to prevent any kind of negligence from her side all precautions had been taken by them.
The activities of the tigress was being monitored by the CCTV cameras and only the keeper and the veterinary doctor were allowed inside the enclosure, he added.
