Celebration of Bada Osha, Kartika Purnima restricted in this Odisha district

Bhubaneswar: As per the order of Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy,  the Koraput district administration has imposed restriction on congregation of people at river ghats and other water bodies in the district for celebration of Bada Osha and Kartika Purnima to contain spread of COVID-19.

During celebration of Bada Osha and Kartik Purnima, people in large number flock to various water bodies to take bath in the wee hours and sail miniature boats.

The district Collector warned that persons found violating the order will be punished under the provisions of the DM  Act, 2005 and other relevant laws.
