Bhubaneswar: A central team would visit Cyclone Titli affected districts in Odisha next week to estimate loss incurred during the natural calamity. Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Bishnupada Sethi informed this after a review meting headed by Chief Secretary AP Padhi here today.
Speaking to Media, Sethi said roads damaged during the cyclone have already been repaired while drinking water supply has been restored in affected districts. Damage assistance of Rs 50 crore and Rs 14 crore have been given for Ganjam and Gajapati districts, respectively.
He further said the relief money will directly be transferred to bank accounts of the affected persons and Anganwadi workers have been asked to collect bank details of the cyclone affected.
In the meeting, the Chief Secretary discussed with Collectors of the affected districts regarding relief distribution and restoration works.
