Centre sanctions for two special railway projects in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Centre has sanctioned for two special railway projects — Talcher-Angul rail line and Bargarh-Nuapada rail line — in Odisha.

A notification in this regard has been published in the Gazette of India by Ministry of Railways dated May 19, 2023.

As per the Gazette of India notification, the Centre has sanctioned for new railway BG (broad-gauge) line between Talcher and Angul with Y connection at Talcher (16.50 km) of East Coast Railway and new BG railway line from Bargarh Road to Nuapada Road (142 km) of Sambalpur division of East Coast Railway.
