Bhubaneswar: A cricket tournament was organised at Venkateswar English Medium (VEM) School ground at Rasulgarh in Odisha capital here under the sponsorship and patronage of Chandra Sekhar Pati Memorial Trust, commemorating its co-founder and former Chairman Late Chandra Sekhar Pati.

Teams from Unit-4, Chandrasekharpur and Rasulgarh branches of VEM School participated in the tournament, which was inaugurated by Surya Prakash Pati, the present Chairman and elder son of Chandra Sekhar Pati in the presence of Administrators Himanshu Sekhar Pati and Shakti Prakash Pati.

The aim and objective of this annual tournament is to remember the invaluable contributions of Late CS Pati, a renowned educationist and philanthropist known for his exemplary noble deeds for the society.

This tournament also marked fraternity and solidarity among all the members of management, staffers, teachers and students of VEM Schools.

All the staff members offered their tributes to Late CS Pati and participated in the tournament in the spirit of sportsmanship.

Chandrasekharpur School won the tournament under the captainship of Mahesh Kumar Mishra and Rasulgarh School became the Runner-up under the captainship of Shakti Prakash Pati.

Sashanka Sekhar Pati, the younger brother of Chandra Sekhar Pati and Vice-President of VEM School Managing Committee presented the trophies to the winner and runner-up of the tournament.

Chandrasekharpur VEM School Principal G. Rama Kishore offered thanks to all the participants of the tournament.

BK Tripathy, Manager; Bijaya Kumar Nayak, secretary of VEM School; SMA Nabi, the establishment officer; S. Udgata and Bithika Chhotray, Principal of Rasulgarh School helped the trust organise the tournament in a smooth manner.
