Charred body of newly-wed woman, baby found in Odisha; hubby detained

Balasore: Burnt bodies of a newly-wed woman and her 9-month-old daughter were found from their house at Gamakorna village under Simulia police limits in Odisha’s Balasore district today.

It is suspected that the deceased woman, identified as Sanjulata Roul, torched herself and her baby following a family dispute.

On being informed, Simulia police reached the spot and recovered the charred bodies for post-mortem.

The husband of the woman was detained by police for questioning in connection with the deaths.
