Chemistry exam postponed in Odisha after question paper goof-up

Odisha Sun Times Bureau
Bhubaneswar, Mar 14:

The Council of Higher Secondary Examination (CHSE), body conducting the Plus II examination in Odisha, today decided to reschedule the Chemistry examination to March 30.

According to sources, the Council has rescheduled the examination from March 16 to 30 after Chemistry papers were supplied to students instead of Mathematics across some centres leading to huge resentment among the examinees.

The examination will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm on March 30, sources added.

“The Chemistry examination scheduled on March 16 has been postponed to March 30 after the question paper fiasco. We have received reports about such irregularity from 14 colleges,” said School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra.

The centres found Chemistry question papers in place of Mathematics after breaking the seal, which delayed the examination for few hours at several centres.

“Irregularities have been reported at 6-7 colleges. Concerned colleges have been asked to send back these question papers,” Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Controller of Examinations Biranchi Narayan Mishra said.
