Puri: The schedule for Rath Yatra rituals of the Holy Trinity in Puri Jagannath temple was finalised in a meeting of the Srimandir Chhatisa Nijog that concluded today, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief Administrator Vir Vikram Yadav informed.

“The schedule is to be approved in the temple managing committee meeting tomorrow. This year’s car festival has a rare coincidence, as three special rituals are to be performed in a day. Hence, the smooth and peaceful conduct of the Ratha Jatra is of prime importance. It is, in fact, a challenge for all of us. Cooperation of all Sevayats (servitors) of the shrine has been sought,” the SJTA chief said.

As per the finalised schedule, chariots of the presiding deities will roll out at around 5.00 PM on July 7 (Sunday). Accordingly, Agyan Mala (ordained garland) of the Pati Dian will be brought on July 6.

Worth mentioning, the Chhatisa Nijog earlier assured Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi of their wholehearted cooperation.
