Odisha chit fund scam: Top CBI officials arrive in city

CBI joint director Rajiv Singh and DIG, SIT of CBI, S Baghchi arrived here this morning to take stock of the progress of the investigation into the Odisha chit fund scam.

Sources said that these two officials will have a meeting with CBI SP MK Sinha, CBI SIT SP Rajiv Ranjan and the Investigating Officers (IOs) probing various cases related to the scam.

The meeting will discuss revving up the investigation into the chit fund scams in the state.

In the meanwhile, regional director of Pipli Gramya Bank, Prakash Chandra Mishra arrived at the CBI office with some documents.

However, the reason for his arrival was not known.
