Sambalpur: Union Home Minister Amit Shah promised to put all chitfund accused persons, who duped depositors of crores, in jails if the BJP is voted to power in Odisha.
"All the accused in chitfund scam will be behind bars after the BJP forms the government in Odisha and money will be refunded to the depositors," said Shah addressing a public rally in Sambalpur today.
Hitting out at Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government, he said, "Naveen Babu is not doing anything. Rather, the bureaucrats are running the government. Let the BJP be blessed, a son of this soil can take the charge of governing the state."
He alleged that Naveen Patnaik is imposing 'Babudom' on Odisha.
"Naveen Patnaik insulted the people of Odisha by strangulating Odia's pride and culture. The government is trying to end rich Odia culture in the name of tourism development. It wants to make Puri Shree Khetra into a commercial hub. The mutts and temples were destroyed during the BJD rule. The government is not opening four gates of Srimandir for devotees. Even the government conspired to stop Ratha Jatra of Lord Jagannath during the period of Covid pandemic. Only an Odia leader in the BJP who speaks Odia language can take Jagannath culture to next level," the BJP's star campaigner said appealing to people for votes in favour of BJP's MP and Assembly candidates in 3rd phase of elections in Odisha for a double-engine government.
Shah promised to introduce a system for teaching of medical science courses in Odia language to produce more doctors for service of poor in the state.
