CHSE seeks police help for smooth conduct of evaluation

The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha today sought police help for smooth conduct of the evaluation of Plus Two answer sheets which began today amid the boycott by 662 and 488 category block grant teachers and employees.

CHSE chairman Basudeb Chhatoi in a letter addressed to ADG (Law and Order) today sought police help for smooth conduct of evaluation.

“In most of the valuation zones, there has been an obstruction of willing teacher-examiners by the striking teachers who have resorted to strike/boycott of valuation assignments etc. by picketing at the entrance point to the valuation zones. This sort of activities by the strikers is creating law and order problem at the respective sites as well as causing in the smooth conduct of valuation work,” Chhatoi wrote in his letter addressed to Satyajit Mohanty, ADGP (Law and Order).

“In view of the above, it is requested that necessary steps may please be taken at your end to control the situation and allow the willing teacher-examiners to value the answer scripts as per schedule. In the case of necessary and compelling situations, the provisions of the Conduct of Examination Act 1988 may be invoked against the erring persons,” Chhatoi added in his letter.
