Class 10 boy attacked with knife by junior in Odisha's Puri

Puri: In a shocking incident, a Class 10 student suffered critical injuries after he was reportedly stabbed by a junior in Puri district of Odisha here today. The accused minor, a Class 8 student of Police Line High School in Puri, fled from the spot after committing the crime.

As per reports, the victim was going to school when he was attacked the minor boy with a knife. He suffered injuries in his hand and was immediately rushed to the district headquarters hospital. Though the exact reason behind the attack is not established yet, sources said the duo used to get into fights and past enmity led to this act of revenge.

Family members of the victim however claimed that they were not aware of any previous enmity.

"My son had no conflict with anyone. He had gone to school like any other day. I don't know what happened. He got along with everyone," she stated.

Meanwhile, Kumbharpada police reached the spot and have started investigation.
