Class 10 student goes missing in Urmagarh waterfall in Odisha’s Kandhamal; search on

Phulbani: A minor boy went missing yesterday afternoon while taking a bath in Urmagarh waterfall of Kandhamal district. He was a student of Class X in a school at Nakadisaru village.

The minor has been identified as a boy who hails from the village under Gochhapada police limits.

According to a police source, the minor had gone to the waterfall along with some of his friends. The incident occurred when they were taking a bath. Unfortunately, the minor boy slipped deep into the water and went missing and has not yet been traced out, the senior police official said.

On being informed today by the missing boy’s family, a team of local fire services personnel launched a frantic search operation, which was underway till the time when this report was filed.

“A search operation was initiated today morning and it continued the day long,” the cop stated.
