Class 10 Summative Assessment-I from tomorrow in Odisha; 5.76 lakh students to appear

Bhubaneswar: The Summative Assessment-I of Class 10  students will begin in the state tomorrow amidst the upsurge in COVID-19 cases. Total 5, 76,223 students will appear for the the exam to be conducted at 3,093 centres, informed Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha President Ramashis Hazra today.

On preparations, the official said questions papers have already been sent to 311 nodal centres, including 22 police stations. To check malpractice, the Board has formed a four-tier squad to conduct surprise check to stop malpractice.

Mobile phones will not be allowed inside exam centres. Only Centre Superintendents will be allowed to keep mobile phone on certain conditions, he added.

The exam, which will continue till January 8, will be held in two sittings.

Earlier, the examination was scheduled to begin on December 27, 2021. However, BSE had postponed the exam to January 5, 2022.
