Class-6 girl student gangraped by teachers at school in Odisha’s Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: A class-6 girl student was allegedly gangraped by the headmaster and an assistant teacher of the school in Kundei area of Odisha’s Nabarangpur district. The incident took place on November 7 and later came to fore as the victim fell ill.

As per reports, the girl initially didn’t disclose the matter before her family members fearing embarrassment. As her health condition deteriorated, her family members took her to a local hospital, where she was given pain killer.

As the pain persisted, she was again taken to the hospital. Suspecting foul play, the concerned nurse talked to girl alone, during which she revealed about the rape incident.

The victim’s family members then reached Kundei police station along with her and lodged a complaint in this regard. On the basis of the complaint, police registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC and POCSO Act.

The two teachers were being questioned at the police station.

On the other hand, the girl was admitted to the Nabarangpur District Headquarters Hospital last night for better treatment.
