Gajapati: Mystery shrouded death of a Class IX girl student, whose body was found hanging from a tree near Patrabasa Chhak in Mohana area of Gajapati district today. The girl was missing since December 10.

Sources said the girl, daughter of one Trinath Gamang of Gamang Sahi in Ramagiri of Gajapati district, was staying in a rented house with his friends since the school she was studying in was far from her house. However, she went missing from the rented house on December 10 and her family members lodged a police complaint on December 24. Acting in the complaint, police had started an investigation after registering a case.

Today morning, locals found the girl hanging from a tree Patrabasa Chhak and informed the police.
