Class 9 girl student dies during prayer in Odisha school

Bhadrak: A class 9 student died during prayer at Laxminarayan Girls’ High School under Dhamnagar block here in the district today.

The deceased student was the resident of Kali Sahi under Radhaballav panchayat in Bhadrak district.

According to reports, the minor girl among other students was in the prayer class at around 6.15 am at the school. During the period, she suddenly collapsed following which the teachers rushed her to the Dhamnagar Community Health Centre for treatment. Later, she was shifted to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital where the doctors declared her dead.

The cause of death will be ascertained after receiving post-mortem report, informed local police.
