Class IX student brutally murdered for ‘property’ in Odisha

Nayagarh: A Class-IX student was brutally killed reportedly for property in Nayagarh district, police informed today.

The incident occurred at Mahatpalla village under Ranapur police limits late on Saturday night.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the 14-year-old boy was stabbed to death by his close relative  (brother) for property.

Based on allegation, the police seized the body of deceased and detained the accused for investigation.

According to reports, the minor boy’s father had passed away about 8 months ago. His mother Jayanti Behera is working as a cook at a school.
