Close shave for ANM student as concrete chunk falls off ceiling in Odisha

Balasore: A student sustained minor injuries after a chunk of concrete fell off ceiling at Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) training centre located on premises of the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), Balasore, today.

The injured student was identified as Sukanti Bindhani, a second year ANM student.

According to reports, a chunk of concrete fell on the student when she was inside the college washroom at around 12.00 pm. Her classmates rescued her from the washroom and took her to the hospital.

Following the incident, the irate students gheraoed the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) over poor construction and demanded ceiling repair at the ANM training centre.
