Thiruvananthapuram: Community transmission has begun in Kerala, admitted Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan today.
Community transmission has been confirmed in the Poonthura and Pulluvila areas of Thiruvananthapuram, the CM said.
The Chief Minister, however, said that the situation is under control and there is no need to panic.
The state today reported 791 fresh COVID-19 cases while 532 of them are local transmissions. Thiruvananthapuram today reported 246 new COVID-19 cases.
