CM appeals for contributions to Relief Fund

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday issued an appeal to individuals, state and central PSUs, corporate houses, industrial and business houses, banks and other organisations to contribute generously to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to enable the government to provide relief to the people affected by Cyclone Phailin.

The contributions can be sent by way of cheques or drafts to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund 9Cyclone 2013), c/o Joint Director, CM’s Relief Fund, General Administration department, Secretariat, Bhubaneswar, PIN: 751001, a press release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) today. They can also be transferred electronically through NEFT or RTGS to A/C No 33378452680 (IFSC code: SBIN0006606) in the Forest Park, Bhubaneswar Branch of SBI, the release said.

Contributions to the CM’s Relief Fund are exempt from income tax, the release said.
