CM distributes land Patta to displaced people in Odisha’s Ganjam and Jharsuguda

Berhampur/Jharsuguda: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today distributed land Patta (Record of Right) to several displaced people in Odisha’s Ganjam and Jharsuguda districts. This has put an end to their nearly 100-year-old problem of ownership of the lands.

The perennial issue was resolved in less than 100 days under the 5T initiative of the State government. However, the distribution was conducted by the CM through video conferencing.

Addressing the beneficiaries on this occasion, the CM said, “I have been sincerely working to resolve the issues faced by common people. The smile on your face is the biggest reflection of my success. After obtaining land Pattas, now, you will be able to join in several welfare schemes of the Government.”

“In the first phase, around 20,000 beneficiaries were handed over land Pattas in Ganjam district this year. About 18,000 more beneficiaries will be issued Pattas,” the Chief Minister declared.

Notably, the displaced people from Lakhanpur and Sorada tehsils have been facing problems since long ago.
