CM inaugurates sports complex in Jeypore, 26 multifaceted indoor stadiums in 12 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated a modern sports complex spanning over around 11 acres in Jeypore town of Koraput and 26 multifaceted indoor stadiums in 12 districts of Odisha to promote sports at the grassroots level in the State, today.

The sports complex has a naturally-grown football field and a synthetic athletic track, including several sports equipment of international standards, a gymnastic centre, a swimming pool, two synthetic tennis courts, and a basketball court.

Similarly, indoor stadiums have provisions for badminton, table tennis, yoga, chess, weight lifting, and gym etc to bolster healthy lifestyle among locals.

“We are giving emphasis to sports to help build a strong and healthy youth force. Other states in the country have been following Odisha as a role model,” said the Chief Minister on this occasion.
