CM lays stones for Rs 159-crore projects in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today laid foundation stones for four developmental projects worth Rs 159.29 crore in Ekamra-Bhubaneswar Assembly constituency in the capital city here.

The Chief Minister laid foundation stones for an in-stream storage structure at Dhauli, a two-lane road project, a mega drinking water project at Basuaghai and a 33/11 KV sub-station at Itipur under Ekamra-Bhubaneswar Assembly segment.

The state government will execute the in-stream storage structure with an expenditure of Rs 77.74 crore while it has allocated Rs 22 crore for the road project, said the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) in a statement.

The mega drinking water project at Basuaghai will be implemented at a cost of Rs 42.55 crore while Rs 17 crore has been allocated for the sub-station at Itipur, added the CMO.

“The people of Ekamra-Bhubaneswar Assembly segment will be hugely benefitted by these four projects,” said the Chief Minister.

Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) Minister Ashok Panda, MLAs Ananta Narayan Jena and Sushant Rout, and Mayor Sulochana Das among others were present on the occasion.
