CM Naveen sanctions Rs 10 cr to CMC for COVID management

Bhubaneswar: In view of the spike in COVID-19 cases, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today sanctioned Rs 10 crore to Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) for better management of COVID-19 situation in the city.

The fund has been sanctioned from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) to strengthen the fight against the virus in CMC area, said the official order.

The city has been witnessing a steep rise in positive cases in the last couple of days with 587 cases reported today.

Earlier, the CM had allocated Rs 10 crore to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) for COVID management.
