CM reviews flood situation, asks officials for restoration in 24 hrs

Sambalpur: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today directed officials concerned of 10 districts affected by incessant rain over the last few days to estimate loss and take measures for restoration of the damages within next 24 hours.

Briefing mediapersons after reviewing flood situation in the 10 districts under the RDC Northern Division, Patnaik said, “I just had a review about the rainfall in 10 districts of the northern division. I have instructed the officers that wherever the damages have been done, it should be restored within 24 hours. And to keep us updated in Bhubaneswar how the matter progresses.”

RDC (Northern) Dr V Swami, Collector Samarth Verma, SP Sanjeev Arora, MLAs Rajeswari Panigrahi and Ramesh Patua were present at the meeting, among others.

After the meeting, the CM left for Manamunda of Boudh district. He attended a plantation programme under Sabuja Mahanadi Abhiyan near Budharaja bridge in Sonepur.
