Banki: A 4.5-ft long cobra was rescued from a flag hoisting pipe on the hostel premises of the Banki Autonomous College here today.

The students were panicked after spotting a snake inside the pipe kept at the campus of the Laxmi Narayana Modi Hostel of the Banki College for flag hoisting on Independence Day this morning.

They informed the Snake Helpline for catching the reptile from the pipe.

Receiving the information, the Snake Helpline member Lalit Mohan Panda reached the hostel campus and rescued the cobra after 2-hour long operation.
