Bhubaneswar: The snake helpline members rescued a cobra from a sound box at a house here in the city. The snake was released into forest following rescue.

The 2.5 ft-long poisonous snake was rescued from the house of a local identified as Biswajit Bisoi at Kokila Enclave phase II at Pokhariput area in the city on Thursday.

According to reports, Biswajit informed the snake helpline after he spotted a snake under a table at his home yesterday.

Receiving information, the Snake Helpline Founder Subhendu Mallick along with another member Prasanna Kumar Das reached the place to nab the snake. However, they did not find the reptile following search at the house.
