Coins illegally transported from Kolkata seized from 2 buses in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Officials of the Income Tax Department seized 20 sacks of coins of various denominations illegally transported from Kolkata from two buses here today.

Acting on a tip-off, the IT officials conducted raids and intercepted two buses at Satsang Vihar and Baramunda Bus Stand here and later. They later seized the coins that were transported to Bhubaneswar from Kolkata from the bus

The officials also detained drivers and helpers of the two vehicles for interrogation.

However, the exact amount of the seized coins is yet to be ascertained.
