Cold wave: 8 places record below 10 degree C in Odisha; Semiliguda coldest at 5.6

Bhubaneswar: Odisha continued to reel under cold wave conditions as eight places record below 10 degree Celsius last night.

Semiliguda in Koraput district shivered at 5.6 degree Celsius, becoming the coldest place in Odisha. The night temperature dropped to 8 degree C in G Udayagiri and 8.5 degree C in Phulbani.

The places including Keonjhar, Koraput, Daringibadi and Kirei recorded the minimum temperature of 9.5 degree C each. While the mercury plummeted to 9.8 degree C in Chipilima, Bhawanipatna recorded 10 degree C last night.

Similarly, other places including Jharsuguda stood at 11.2 degree C, Hirakud 11.9 degree C, Sundargarh 12 degree C, Deogarh 12 degree C, Angul 12 degree C, Bargarh 12.6 degree C, Balangir 12.8 degree C, Sonepur 13 degree C, Mahisapat 13.2 degree C, Sambalpur 13,3 degree C, Titilagarh 14 degree C, Kendrapara 14 degree C, Malkangiri 14.5 degree C, Bhadrak 15.5 degree C, Balasore 15.1 degree C, .

Odisha’s Twin City Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 14 degree C and 15 degree C respectively yesterday night.
