Cold wave back in Odisha; 8 places record below 15 degree C

Bhubaneswar: After a brief lull, the cold wave returned to Odisha with minimum temperature hovering below 15 degree Celsius in many places in the last 24 hours.

As many as 8 places recorded the minimum temperature below 15 degree Celsius yesterday night. While Sonepur continues to be the coldest town in the State with 11.2 degree C, Phulbani and Daringibadi stood at 12.5 degree C.

The mercury declined in Jharsuguda, Baripada, Bhawanipatna, Keonjhar and Angul with 12.6 degree C, 13.2 degree C, 13.2 degree C, 13.4 degree C and 13.6 degree C respectively in the last 24 hours.

The minimum temperature in Odisha’s Twin City Bhubaneswar and Cuttack was recorded 18.1 degree C and 16.0 degree C respectively.

While Talcher stood at 15.0 degree C, Koraput recorded the minimum temperature 15.6 degree C and Hirakud 15.7 degree C.
