Cold wave like condition is likely to prevail over some parts of interior Odisha, a weather bulletin revealed today.

The condition will prevail till December 1. Coastal and south Odisha region likely to witness light rain from December 2 to 4, the forecast added.

“A dry and cold wind is blowing from the north-western side of the country causing fall in temperature in Odisha and will continue till November 30. However, the temperature is likely to increase from December 1,” said Dr. Sarat Chandra Sahu, Director, Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.

A low pressure has been formed at the Tamil Nadu coast following which light rain will likely occur in few places in south and coastal Odisha on December 2 and 3. The temperature will increase during this period, he added.

After December 4, increase and fall in temperature will continue in the state, he concluded.

Weather has been dry over Odisha with the highest maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius recorded at Titlagarh today and the lowest minimum temperature was recorded 08.0 degrees Celsius at Phulbani while Daringbadi registered 13.5 degrees Celsius.
