Bhubaneswar: Cold wave conditions have intensified across Odisha as mercury plummeted below 15 degree Celsius at 12 places in the state today.
Lowest temperature of the day was recorded in Daringbadi as it shivered at 9 degree Celsius, followed by Phulbani (11), Sonepur (11.4), Angul (11.6), Baripada (12), Keonjhar (12.4), Talcher (12.5), Bhawanipatna (13.6), Jharsuguda (13.8), Koraput (14), Cuttack (14.5), and Chandbali (14.8).
Capital city Bhubaneswar recorded a minimum temperature of 16 degree Celsius today.
On the other hand, fog blanketed Phulbani, Sundargarh, Koraput, Talcher, Balangir and Bhawanipatna this morning. Visibility was reduced to 100 metres in Phulbani and Sundargarh while the figure stood at 300 metres in Koraput due to the fog.
