Cold wave likely to grip Odisha as mercury may drop by 3-5 degree Celsius

Bhubaneswar: Cold wave conditions are likely to resurface in Odisha as mercury may dip by 3-5 degree Celsius during the next four days in the state, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted today.

Minimum temperature (night temperature) very likely to fall gradually by 3 to 5°C during next 4 days over the districts of Odisha, the Meteorological Centre predicted.

It has also issued dense fog and cold wave warning for several districts of the state.

* Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak (valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 26.01.2022).

* Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 26.01.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 27.01.2022).

* Cold wave condition very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 28.01.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 29.01.2022).

* Cold wave condition very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Angul, Deogarh (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 29.01.2022 up to 0830 hrs IST of 30.01.2022).
