Cold wave in Odisha to intensify after three days

With most parts of Odisha already under the grip of a cold wave, the Met office has predicted that the mercury would dip further in the next three days.

A Met release this evening said that there would be little change in the weather condition in the next 48 hours till January 11.

However, the cold wave condition would intensify with a sharp drop in the night temperature in the next four days till January 16.

According to the release, Sundargarh was the coldest place today with 6.4 degree Celsius while mercury came down to single digit in Keonjhar (8.7), Bhawanipatna (6.5), Koraput (9), Phulbani (7.2) and Daringbadi (8.5).

Temperature hovered between 10 and 13 degrees in Baleswar (12.7), Angul (12), Baripada (12.4), Hirakud (11.7), Talcher (11.7), Bolangir (10.5), Titlagarh (12), Malkangiri (10.2), Sonepur (12.8) and Dhenkanal (12).

The twin city of  Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 13.8 and 13.5 degrees respectively.
