Bhubaneswar: A college girl, who was allegedly abducted by a youth in Odisha capital three days ago, the kidnaper dropped her at Master Canteen square yesterday night and absconded.
Police rescued the victim and handed over to her parents. The search and raids are underway to nab Bishal Nayak, the accused in the abduction case.
Bishal had taken her to Puri in a car. After police conducted search operation in various locations, the accused probably dropped her late on yesterday night and left the spot, said the victim, a plus two student of Rama Devi (RD) Women's College.
After she was dropped on the road, she informed about it to her family over phone. Later, the family along with police reached the spot and rescued her.

According to reports, the girl was abducted in front of Kali Temple located in Satya Nagar area under Kharavel police limit three days ago. She was allegedly picked by Bishal Nayak from the road in a car on her way to coaching centre at unit -9 area. The family of the girl came to know about abduction of their daughter when she did not return home and asked locals near the coaching centre.
Reports said that the accused Bishal had been chasing the girl in the past six months. Even, he had proposed the girl for love several times. However, she had rejected his proposal.
The family had lodged a complaint with Kharavel police that filed the case after verifying the CCTV installed on Janpath road.
