Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: Popular comedian Raju Srivastava, who’s most loved for mimicking megastar Amitabh Bachchan, suffered a heart attack while working out at a gym on Wednesday.
The 58-year old comedian, who collapsed while running on treadmill today morning, was immediately rushed to (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) AIIMS, Delhi. He is now undergoing treatment.
Raju’s team told media that he had suffered a mild heart attack. However, he is conscious now and doing fine.
Doctors attending the comedy star informed that he would be kept under observation for a couple of days before being discharged from the hospital.
Raju Srivastava shot to fame with stand-up comedy show ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.’ Later, in the comedy show’s spin off ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge-Champions’, he was awarded the title of ‘The King of Comedy’. In the following years, Raju also participated in reality shows like Bigg Boss Season 3 and The Kapil Sharma Show.
