Commercial flight services from Rourkela: AAI team visits airport for inspection

Rourkela: With the Rourkela Airport here set to start commercial flight services soon, a two-member team of the Airport Authority of India (AAI) today visited the airport for an inspection.

The team including senior officials of few private air carriers inspected the infrastructure and other facilities of the airport, run by Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP). The airport has fuel center and VIP guest house.

Sundargarh Collector Nikhil Pawan Kalyan, Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) Commissioner Dibyajyoti Parida, MP Jual Oram and senior officials of RSP accompanied the AAI team in the inspection.

Rourkela was included in phase-4 of the bidding process under the Udey Desh Ka Aam Nagarik (UDAN) scheme.
