Commissionerate Police forms Team HER to ensure women’s safety in Twin Cities of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Taking a major step towards ensuring safety of women in public space, the Commissionerate Police has formed a team which will tackle harassment of any kind in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

Led by ACP Anjana Tudu, team HER (High Efficiency Response) is working round the clock to crackdown on miscreants who pose any kind of threat to safety of women especially those coming back from work late at night.

So far, the team has registered six cases and action has been initiated against the accused.

The team is available 24/7 and reaches immediately at the spot mentioned by the complainant. Women subjected to any form of misconduct, harassment or eve teasing can reach out to the team by calling on 6372500400 or 112.

Furthermore, the identity of the caller will also not be disclosed.
