Bhubaneswar: Ace sprinter Dutee Chand failed to qualify for the semi-final round of women’s 100m event in Commonwealth Games-2022 as she finished fourth in Heat No. 5 of first round.
Dutee, the fastest woman of India, clocked 11.55 seconds to finish the race.
Michelle-Lee Ahye of Trinidad and Tobago, Tynia Gaither of The Bahamas and Joy Chinenye Udo Gabriel of Nigeria secured first, second and third positions, respectively in the heat.
Notably, first three runners in each heat and next three fastest runners qualified for the semi-final round.
