Complainant hacked inside police station in Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: A person who went to the Remuna police station in Odisha’s Balasore district last night for lodging a complaint was allegedly hacked by a group of people inside the police station.

The victim sustained critical injuries in the attack and has been hospitalised.

According to reports, the incident took place around 11 pm when victim Raghunath Sahu had gone to the police station to file a complaint over ransacking of his house. In the meantime, the attackers barged into the police station and hacked him with sharp weapon in the presence of the cops.

The attack was a fallout of past enmity, reports said. The assailants also vandalised the police station.

Till last reports came in, no FIR was lodged in connection with the attack while the attackers were yet to be arrested.

Two platoons of police forces have been deployed at the police station avoid any untoward incident.
