Concentrix Customer Experience Centre opens in Odisha capital

The centre is expected to create jobs for 2,000 people

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the Customer Experience Centre of Concentrix in the capital city here.

“Information technology behemoths IBM, Deloitte and Happiest Minds have already opened their units in Bhubaneswar. Today, Concentrix opened its BPO centre in the city here. This is a big achievement for the information technology sector in Odisha,” said an official.

The Concentrix customer experience centre will create job opportunities for more than 2,000 people in Odisha, added the official.

“The Make in Odisha conclaves are instrumental in inviting big IT companies to the state,” he said.

In the initial phase, the Customer Experience Centre of Concentrix will operate with 2,000 professionals. The company will have at least 5,000 employees in its Bhubaneswar centre in next few years, said the Chief Minister.

Information Technology Minister Tusharkanti Behera, advisor to Information Technology department Anubhav Patnaik, 5T Secretary VK Pandian, Higher Education department Principal Secretary Bishnupada Sethi, Electronics and IT department principal secretary Manoj Kumar Mihsra and special secretary Manas Ranjan Panda among others were present on the occasion.

“The Customer Experience Centre of Concentrix will create job opportunities for our youths and stimulate our economy. Concentrix is the largest professional service provider in the world. The company has its centres in several countries across the globe,” said the official.

The company has also signed an agreement with Rama Devi Women’s University in Bhubaneswar for opening a skill development centre on the varsity premises.

“The skill development centre at Rama Devi University will further women empowerment in Odisha,” said the Chief Minister.
